It’s summer for me, and during the summer I like finding ways to stay active, but I don’t have the money to spend on crazy excursions, so if it’s free it’s for me! Fitbit is a brand I’ve come to love over the past year, I have a Fitbit Flex and I love using it and tracking my activity on a daily basis. So when I got the email that Fitbit was now hosting FREE local events, I semi freaked out and signed up within 2 minutes.
The first event they had in Boston was their first one on the East Coast, I took Felicity with me and we both got free yoga mats. There was a 45 minute workout and then another 45 minute yoga session, after that there were delicious snacks from Kind Snacks, tee shirts from Fitbit Local, and AMAZING juice from Suja!
The second event was this past Thursday in the Common, I had so much fun. Our Fitbit Local leader, Chad, pushed us through a crazy workout that left me sore 5 minutes after we finished.
What you need to know: Fitbit is slowly expanding their Fitbit Local activities. I know that they have had them in Seattle and Arizona (I think). So if you’re interested make sure that you receive emails from Fitbit so that you’ll be alerted to upcoming events.
Also, if you don’t have a Fitbit you should look into getting one. I have the Fitbit Flex which is the most basic Fitbit, and I love it so much. It’s so fun to be able to challenge my friends, see how many steps I take in a day, and how much sleep I get at night.
