So many of you may not know that I am writing a book. It’s titled Lost It and is a collection of 100 true stories on how individuals lost their virginity. Yes, I know, this is not the kind of book people normally write. In fact I’ve truthfully never come across another book even close to what I’m doing, but I have always prided myself on being different just like my mom taught me to be (thanks mom)!
Some of you may be thinking to yourself “why would she want to write a book like this”. Aside from this being a genuinely good read, the honest answer is because I don’t think it’s talked about enough. Thinking back on my own experience I remember that I was the first of my closest friends to lose it and I didn’t really have anything to base it off of except movies and books. I even remember asking my mom and aunt about when they lost their virginity and the only thing that they told me was they were 21… That’s it. Nothing about the experience itself or who it was with. It’s just not a topic that’s talked about yet it’s something that almost everyone experiences, so that just doesn’t make sense to me.
In life we often make choices based off other people’s experiences, but when it comes to this deeply personal and expectedly life changing experience we often base it off fiction, not fact. It’s important to note that none of the people in this book consider their first time anything other than consentual, but there are a range of stories. Some that are flat out hilarious and some that will make you feel deeply for the person.
