Planning My Dream Vacation to Wildwood, NJ

Hi Loves,

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer so far! While I love getting to relax on a vacation I have to say, my favorite part about vacation is planning one. So, today we are going to plan my dream vacation to Wildwood, New Jersey. Now I’ve never been to Wildwood, so this is completely new territory for me. I have heard many great things though, so I have an idea of where to start.

Wildwood is a 5-mile long island with white beaches and a 38 block long boardwalk! There are so many activities to do it’s honestly hard to choose. To make things easier let me explain the categories I’ll be talking about today. This post will be broken up by housing, dining, activities, and sights.

Tips for Slowing Down in Life

Slowing down in life. Is that even possible nowadays? I think it is, but you definitely have to be very intentional about it. Slowing down is hard to do, because everyone is all about the hustle and bustle of getting things done.

How quickly can we get this project done? How quickly can I make it out the door in the morning to make that meeting? What is a quick and easy way to make dinner so that I can sit on the couch at the end of a long day?

Oh Canada! Photo Journal

Hi Loves,

Remember that time I went to Canada? No? That might be because I never got around to posting my photo journal. Better late than never right? My trip to Canada was a girls trip in the summer of 2016 with my mom, my aunt, and my cousin. We left at 5 am and drove up to Niagara falls, spent some time there then drove over to Toronto. We were in Toronto for a couple of days (I searched for Drake the entire time). We ate some amazing food and saw some pretty cool art. Then we drove over to Montreal where my cousin and I shared our first legal drink, ate some more amazing food, and saw some of the city’s history. When it was time to leave Canada we had one more adventure back in New York before we returned home. We stopped and went hiking then rafting, which are two of my favorite activities. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Delicious Findings

Hi Loves,

The last time I went home to the Hudson Valley I got the chance to explore the wide variety of food it offers. My mom and I went on the Hudson Valley Food Tour led by Jennifer Brizzi. She took us to 6 very different restaurants on the Poughkeepsie tour, and each of them was amazingly delicious. This tour had a special focus on local food. It was amazing seeing what restaurants can do with food that comes from just down the road. From sweet potato pizza to lobster chowder, it was a day of deliciousness.

Philadelphia Fashion

FullSizeRender (34)

Hi Loves,

I went on a little girls trip to Philly last weekend with my Mom, Godmother, and God-sister. We saw historical sites, ate delicious food, and had some awesome girl time. I knew I’d want take some fashion photos with some fab historical sites, so I enlisted my God-sister as my go to photographer.

I love this flowy floral romper that I picked up at Lit Boutique on Newbury Street, it’s super comfortable, cold shoulder, and has pockets! It was perfect for wandering the streets of Philly exploring and learning about some of the history of our great country!

Warehouse Sale Survival Guide

Hi Loves,

We all know that shopping is our cardio, it’s our addiction, our way of life, but when does a shopper truly get to show off all their skills? At the coveted warehouse sale!

If you’ve watched one of my favorite moves of all time, Confessions of a Shopaholic, you know the iconic warehouse sale scene in which two women are fighting over a pair of Gucci boots. I can say that I have never seen two people physically fighting over one item, I have seen people plot out strategies so that they get the best items possible. Most strategies include, but are not limited to: Dragging your tired and caffein deprived significant other with you to hold everything you want to buy, going with a group of 5 people so you all can look for things for each other, hoarding anything that looks at all like something you might someday wear even if its 3 sizes too big or small, passive aggressively starring down another person holding something that they want, and bringing an empty stroller to load clothes into without them getting tired.

Love for Lavender Event

Hi Loves,
April is the month of all cancers and lavender is the color that represents all cancers, so yesterday night my club Her Campus hosted our Love for Lavender event. It was at a local venue called Umbria Prime, there was good food, fun music and awesome raffle prizes! Our event coordinator did an amazing job putting together this event so I have to give her major props!! There was lavender things everywhere, balloon, yummy lavender gum balls, and even a purple carpet! Some of the things we had to win were Red Sox tickets that were a $500 value, TJMaxx gift card, TD Garden cookie jar with Celtics towels, and then there is what I won, a basket full of candy and an amazing mug!!

Wear Yellow for Seth

Hi Loves,
So today is the day to wear yellow for Seth. If you don’t know who Seth is, he is a 5 year old boy with an immune deficiency disease who is also in need of a bone marrow transplant. His favorite color is yellow, and he and his parents took to youtube and made a video asking people to wear yellow to show Seth how much support he has. If you have not watched Seth’s video I encourage you to do so. He is such an adorable little boy, how could you not support him! So today, April 27 is the day to wear yellow for seth! Hashtag your posts so Seth knows how much love he has! Snapchat has also made special imagery for the #wearyellowforseth day.
