Hi Loves,

This summer has been a wild, wild ride. Between the sun, swimming, plane and car rides, and now moving into my new apartment my skin has really been drained! My typical skin care routine has not been cutting it with keeping me awake and not looking like one of the walking dead. When Dewycel reached out to me I was so thrilled to test out their eye plus cream! Eye creams are not something I typically included in my routine, but recently I’ve been seriously looking into different eye creams especially for when the weather here in the North East starts to get cold. Hi Loves,

Today we are talking about a makeup product that I honestly don’t use very often; foundation. I don’t use it much because most of the foundations I’ve used take forever to blend, feel heavy on my skin, dry out my skin, or just look straight cakey. I don’t think it’s just me, I’ve noticed that a lot of people who wear foundation seem to have the same issue as me. Well I’m here to say I’ve found a foundation that I love! Hi Loves,

Though we’ve had some snow on and off, I’m convinced that it’s officially Spring and I intend to dress like it! Today’s outfit gives off some young professional vibes, if you ask me. As a soon to be graduate, I’ve been trying to focus on some more put together looks for going out during the day. A long stroll through Beacon Hill and a quick stop for coffee at my personal fave Tatte Bakery on Charles St. led to the following photo shoot and my first attempt at a “baby hearts” picture. Purify And Unclog With L’Oreal!

Hi Loves,

Happy Soul Sunday! Influenster sent me another package, you know what that means…. It’s time to try another new product! Influenster does send these things for free and for the purpose of testing, so if you’re into trying new products than this is a great way to do it!

This time around I received the Pure-Sugar Scrub from L’Oreal’s skincare line. I’ve never tried anything from the L’Oreal skincare line before, but I’ve heard a lot of mixed feelings about it, so I’ve been interested in trying it out for myself. I try out a lot of different face wash products, I think It’s good to mix it up so that my skin doesn’t get too used to one thing and stop responding the way I want. I definitely don’t have sensitive skin so I have no worries about too harsh of an exfoliant, in fact I say the more exfoliating the better!

So, let’s get into this review.

Hi Loves,

Today we are going to talk about a new subscription service I’ve just started receiving called, BootayBag. It’s an underwear subscription which is $12 a month and you’re sent 2 pairs of undies, so it comes out to $6 per panty. Not a bad deal considering Victoria’s secret sells one pair for $10 and you don’t have to go out into the world and dig through drawers at the store to find your size. Or feel inexplicably guilty for saying no over and over again when the sales lady asks you to sign up for a credit card (do you really want your credit score do drop 5 points when they check it?). I honestly don’t remember the last time I was at a store shopping for underwear. I just don’t have the time to commit to the process. Which is why I love BootayBag so much!

Every time I go home and see my mom I spend some time digging around in her closet and I’m never disappointed with what I find. Whether it’s a couple of gingham shirts for the summer, or vintage sportswear, my mom’s closet is always a reliable shopping spot!

Hi Loves,

I’ve been trying to treat my skin really well recently, meaning washing my face regularly, exfoliateing, and moisturizing. But even doing all of those things I still wasn’t doing one thing that I really needed to do, use sunblock! I won’t lie, I don’t use sunblock… Like ever. Because of my skin tone I don’t get sunburn so I’ve always kind of figured what’s the point. Now before you start lecturing me, I know that just because I don’t burn doesn’t mean I’m not doing damage to my skin, or exposing myself to damaging rays. It just means I don’t see the immediate effect of sun exposure, so protection from the sun isn’t the first thing on my mind when I’m going to be out and about all day.

Pink, White, and Blue

Hi Loves,

Happy 4th of July! One of my personal favorite holidays we celebrate here in the US. There is just something about the fireworks, warm weather, and the colors red, white, and blue being everywhere that makes the day so special. This year I went with a more toned down 4th of July look. A mostly white dress with some blue and pink accents alludes to the 4th, without being totally in your face. Paired with the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac, and all my usual accessories jewelry wise (Fitbit, Pura Vida, Pandora), this look is cool and carefree.
