It’s hard to believe, but Summer ’16 is coming to an end. I start school before August is even over, the earliest I’ve ever started classes, and it’s very disappointing. One thing that makes back to school a bit better is picking out your new backpack that you’ll rock on the first day back.
Recently backpacks have been a huge trend, especially mini ones that can be used as purses, but you can’t use a mini purse to carry your laptop and books around. I’ve been on the hunt for a stylish and functional backpack that can be used for weekend adventures and during the week for classes.
Fjallraven Kanken Original – Deep Red
This beautiful bag is the one I picked up for the 2016-17 school year. I grabbed it in the Frost Green color (see top photo), and it’s been great so far. If you want to check out the bag’s details you can find the link to my unboxing video on YouTube, here.
Michael Kors Rhea Medium Quilted – Navy
I’m in love with the quilted details on the bottom of this bag. That little bit of change in texture makes the bag that much more appealing. The gold zipper details contrast nicely with the deep navy.
Rebecca Minkoff MAB Backpack – Black
Rebecca Minkoff always does it right with her MAB (Morning After Bag) collection. This backpack holds her signature lock in silver hardware that really pops against the black of the bag.
Marc Jacobs Nylon Biker Backpack – Rubino
I’ve been seeing this bag everywhere recently, but usually in a pastel color. I love this deep wine color, such a go to shade for the fall and winter! The exposed zippers add an edge to this bag that just works.
Betsy Johnson Bubblegum Backpack – Black Multi
Betsy Johnson always has such fun styles, and this bag is no exception! Who wouldn’t want such a sweet image to carry them through the day?
That ends the list of backpacks, but we can’t forget about the adorable bag charms!
Fendi $$$$ // Kate Spade $$ // Robert Rose $
That concludes my list of back to school must have backpacks, and accessories. I am still on the hunt for an adorable bag charm that goes with my Fjallraven Kanen, but it is not easy, let me tell you!
Even though I will deeply mourn the loss of #summer16, I welcome Fall ’16 fashion with open arms. I hope you enjoyed these suggestions. Share with me which of my picks was your favorite, and let me know what backpack you’ll be rocking this fall!
