Weekend Road Trip Essentials

Hi Loves,

Road trips are one of my favorite summer activities, I love going to visit new places and have new experiences. Throughout these road trips I’ve learned a few things when it comes to what to bring with me. When on a road trip you don’t want to bring a lot of things with you, especially if you’re only going for a brief time. I’ve been trying to plan for a road trip I have coming up and the things bellow definitely make the cut! Influenster read my mind and sent me some amazing things to test out and take on my trip. Disclaimer: even though I was sent these items for free, all opinions are my own!

Essential #1: Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink

For a road trip I want to bring a lipstick that will work for day or night and will last through both as well. I received the shade Lover (currently sold out on Ulta.com) from Maybelline’s new SuperStay Matte Ink line. There are 9 shades in the line and I’m already dying to get my hands on more. They last through hours of eating, drinking, car naps, sweaty adventures, and are even kiss proof! I’m thoroughly impressed with this amazingly smooth formula from Maybelline and can’t wait to take it on my 6+ hour car ride!

Completely obsessed with this color!

Essential #2: SinfulColors Pride

Even though I try to plan out every detail of my road trips I hardly ever manage to get a manicure like I say I will. I end up in the car with my chipped nails wishing I could change it. I’ve found a way to fix that though, the SinfulColors Pride collection is 6 glitter polishes that are the perfect topper for covering up a chipped manicure, and it’s hard to mess up a glitter top cot even in the car.

Okay this may seem super random, but I love candy for road trips. If I don’t have candy the day isn’t made, and these are a great road trip candy. When you’re on a road trip you really don’t want to be stopping all that often, so it’s important to stock the car with everything you might want while driving. These will definitely be in the car during my next road trip (coming soon)!

Essential #4: Tree Hut Exfoliating Mud Mask

After spending so much time in the car once you get to the hotel you’re probably going to want to shower, get clean, then hit the town and go have some fun. This mud mask from Tree Hut has really done wonders for my skin. Pop it on, let it dry, shower it off and you’re ready to go with amazingly soft skin!

Essential #5: Nature’s Origin Aromatherapy

Keeping in line with the thought of relaxation this essential oil is great for popping a few drops of into the bottom of the shower and let the steam wrap the scent around you and relax your mind and bring on a good rest after a long drive. A good blend of essential oils can make even the cheapest of hotels feel like a five-star spa.

I can’t wait to share photos from this summer’s road trip, I know it’s going to be a great time, and I’ll be stress free as long as these items are in my bag! I’d love to know if you’ve got any road trips planned for this summer and what essentials you will be bringing to make it a relaxing weekend. Thanks for reading!

Love,

Me/E
