Weekend Exploring: Spring Break Edition

Hi Loves,

It is time for spring break 2k16, and this year I decided to go visit my grandmother at her place in Fort Pierce, FL. It was a really beautiful 4 days on the sandy beaches, tanning, kayaking, and just enjoying the 80 degree weather. I took a lot of photos while I was down there, so here are the ones I thought were best to share with you guys! I hope you enjoy!

Weekend Exploring: Re-discovering the Beauty in Boston

Hi Loves,

Boston is such an amazing city, but being busy with school and work doesn’t allow for much time to really embrace the beauty the city has to offer. So on the weekends I like to take what little time I have and find the beauty in new places around Boston. This is the start of a new weekend series where I will be sharing with you the photos from my weekends around Boston, or if I’m away then photos from where ever I am on the weekends! I’ve also just learned about what VSCO is… I don’t know how it took me so long to figure out, but you can check out my VSCO site, here.

This weekend my awesome friend Mitchie, check out her website here, and I decided to go to the Cambridge side mall and do some shopping. Of course she brought her camera with her, as any good photographer would do, and I brought my phone, as any good blogger would do. As we were walking to the mall we got distracted by the many beautiful views that Boston holds, so here I’m going to share them with you.

Aritzia X Boston

Hi Loves,

Boston has a new neighbor! Aritzia has arrived, and let me tell you, it is the place to be. Armed with a $25 gift card, thanks to the amazing Her Campus women, my friends and I had a girls night out and went to the opening of Aritzia on Thursday. There was food, drinks, and an amazing band; City of the Sun, check them out here. Everyone was loving the stunning clothes for spring 2016, modern mixed with a laid back vibe, and lots of blacks, whites, and neutrals in the collection. They also incorporated a lot of different textures with sued and leather baseball caps, sued leggings, and seat belt strap material bralettes.

Makeup Questions Answered by David Lucas (MUA)

Hi Loves,

Have you ever had makeup questions that you’re just dying to know the answers to? I have, so I asked my amazing makeup artist friend, David Lucas ( @davicrocket on Instagam). I knew he could give me helpful tips on exactly what I should be doing with my makeup in 2016 (I mean he clearly knows what he’s doing!).

Question: When did you first get into makeup?

Answer: I first got into makeup some time in High School. I used to have pretty bad acne on my forehead. I would say I didn’t have skin on my forehead just zits. So I would use makeup to cover my skin up.

Q: What was the first makeup item you bought?

A: I remember it like it was yesterday. The first pieve of make up I ever bought was the Rimmel Hide the Blemish Cover Stick. I was with my friend and we were in Ulta and I knew I wanted a concealer.

Starbucks VS Dunkin

Hi Loves,

One of the great debates in life is that of Starbucks VS Dunkin Donuts. It pertains to my life more than one would think, but in my head the debate is displayed as New York VS Boston. For me the two are in constant collision, and when it comes to coffee that is no exception.

Starbucks is like a shiny black Amex, giving you luxury, opening the doors to your own personalized drink, one that is exclusively yours, and offers your rewards for your loyalty. I myself have a Starbucks Gold Card, and I’ve maintained this status since 2010, so needless to say, Starbucks is my go to.

Dunkin on the other hand, is a cheap-quick-cup-of-not-too-strong-coffee that, it seems, everyone here in Boston has a major addiction to. Dunkin also has a rewards program which I partake in, however these rewards allow me to have a guilt free doughnut every once in a while.
