It’s Valentine’s Day and I want to be my own Valentine! I honestly love Valentine’s Day even though I’m painfully single right now. Valentine’s Day has always been one of those days I can’t help but celebrate because I have so many people in my life I love and am grateful for. This year I want to focus on the people in my life I love, including myself! Self love is SO important and at this time of year I’m giving myself an extra dose of it.
Step 1: The first Valentine’s treat I gave myself was a new pair of boots! I’ve been on the hunt for new low booties for months. I’m very picky about shoes, so when I saw these in Primark I was pleasantly surprised that I actually loved them! It’s been a long time since I’ve bought a pair of shoes, so it was the perfect Valentine’s Day gift to myself! If you’re in Boston and get the chance to check out Primark definitely go, they have tons of amazing things and there may or may not be a haul coming soon of spring clothes!
Step 2: Treat yourself to a cute Valentine’s manicure. With all the snow Boston has been getting recently there is no way I’m venturing out to the nail salon in this weather. That said I will gladly spend a day snowed in pampering myself with a cute manicure! You would be surprised at how simple it is to make cute hearts on your nails or even do these little polka dots. Just use a toothpick for the dots and connect the dots with a V to make a heart. Boom, crushed it!
Step 3: Netflix just added a bunch of new movies, so why not snuggle up with some Valentine’s day M&M’s and watch some Finding Dory, Magic Mike, or hey binge watch a new series like The OA. Valentine’s night in sounds like a perfect night to me. Show yourself some love give yourself a night you deserve, no one else needed.
