Since turning 21 I’ve been having a lot of fun with attempting to make different kinds of mixed drinks. It’s always fun to see the glamours drinks people make around the holidays, so I figure why not try it for myself and see what happens! So for this holiday I decided to make three drinks, one cold, one hot, and one that could go either way. Below are the approximate recipes. I’m not that great at measuring, so I mostly went by taste.

So, one of the perks to being 21 is that I’m finally old enough to attend the Boston Magazine Taste event! Held annually at the Boston Children’s Museum, this is a night full of good food, good drinks, and a fab DJ! I snagged VIP tickets through GILT City (highly recommend if you haven’t checked it out) for a great price, so I dragged a friend along with me. OH EHM G, let me tell you, the event was so much better than I could have ever imagined. The food was AMAZING, there were so many restaurants with so many different kinds of food. Dessert, dinner, BBQ, sushi, Latin, Italian, anything that gets your tastebuds going, they had it.

This past summer I went to Canada once again and fell in love with it even more than the first time I went. This time I headed up there with two of my best girls, Amanda and Mitchie. We drove up to Niagara and then around Lake Ontario and into Toronto for the weekend. Having the opportunity to spend the entire weekend in Toronto was great, we got to take time to wander around the city. A girls road trip was exactly what I needed, complete with a Jonas Brothers sing-a-long to get us through the last bit of the drive. Thanks for a great weekend girlies!

Today we are going to talk about a new subscription service I’ve just started receiving called, BootayBag. It’s an underwear subscription which is $12 a month and you’re sent 2 pairs of undies, so it comes out to $6 per panty. Not a bad deal considering Victoria’s secret sells one pair for $10 and you don’t have to go out into the world and dig through drawers at the store to find your size. Or feel inexplicably guilty for saying no over and over again when the sales lady asks you to sign up for a credit card (do you really want your credit score do drop 5 points when they check it?). I honestly don’t remember the last time I was at a store shopping for underwear. I just don’t have the time to commit to the process. Which is why I love BootayBag so much!

Now I know what some of you might be thinking just from the title: “Swimwear Eleni? Really? Summer is almost over!” Yes it’s true and sad to say out loud, summer is coming to an end and it’s depressing af. But in my humble opinion it’s never too late to buy a new bathing suit. Today I’m talking about a bikini that has changed my life.

Road trips are one of my favorite summer activities, I love going to visit new places and have new experiences. Throughout these road trips I’ve learned a few things when it comes to what to bring with me. When on a road trip you don’t want to bring a lot of things with you, especially if you’re only going for a brief time. I’ve been trying to plan for a road trip I have coming up and the things bellow definitely make the cut! Influenster read my mind and sent me some amazing things to test out and take on my trip. If there is one thing I am a firm believer in its raiding your mom’s closet and taking advantage of all the amazing things she’s held on to. Every time I go home and see my mom I spend some time digging around in her closet and I’m never disappointed with what I find. Whether it’s a couple of gingham shirts for the summer, or vintage sportswear, my mom’s closet is always a reliable shopping spot!

I’ve been trying to treat my skin really well recently, meaning washing my face regularly, exfoliateing, and moisturizing. But even doing all of those things I still wasn’t doing one thing that I really needed to do, use sunblock! I won’t lie, I don’t use sunblock… Like ever. Because of my skin tone I don’t get sunburn so I’ve always kind of figured what’s the point. Now before you start lecturing me, I know that just because I don’t burn doesn’t mean I’m not doing damage to my skin, or exposing myself to damaging rays. It just means I don’t see the immediate effect of sun exposure, so protection from the sun isn’t the first thing on my mind when I’m going to be out and about all day.

Happy 4th of July! One of my personal favorite holidays we celebrate here in the US. There is just something about the fireworks, warm weather, and the colors red, white, and blue being everywhere that makes the day so special. This year I went with a more toned down 4th of July look. A mostly white dress with some blue and pink accents alludes to the 4th, without being totally in your face. Paired with the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac, and all my usual accessories jewelry wise (Fitbit, Pura Vida, Pandora), this look is cool and carefree.

Finding a place to live is a hard and timely process. The reason it is so timely is because you have to find the perfect place for yourself. Think about it – the home you choose will be the place you are living in for a decent amount of time, so it has to be a place that you love. If you come up with a checklist of “must-haves” that you are looking for, it can be an easier (and faster) process!
